Ian Anderson, circulation director at the Tampa Bay Business Journal, has been named publisher of the New Mexico Business Weekly, effective Tuesday.

A story on the Albquerque weekly’s website states, “He succeeds Nancy Salem, who is leaving after three years as publisher, to take a communications position at Sandia National Laboratories.

“Anderson joined American City Business Journals, the Business Weekly’s parent, in January 2007 as a circulation sales representative and became circulation director of the west Florida business weekly in June 2010.

“A native of Rochester, New York, Anderson later moved to Boston, where he graduated from Northeastern University. Before joining the Charlotte, N.C.-based ACBJ’s Tampa Bay publication, he was a portfolio analyst at Financial Architects Partners in Boston.

“The 18-year-old Business Weekly was acquired by ACBJ in 2001.”
