Martin Peers, the media and marketing bureau chief at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following Wednesday afternoon:

The Wall Street Journal’s Media & Marketing Group is looking for a reporter to write about the news business.

This person will be responsible for coverage of newspapers, magazines, financial information providers and the fast-growing array of online news sites.

This is a rapidly changing sector. Newspapers and magazines are looking to reinvent themselves in a digital world, just as a myriad of news web sites and blogs are trying to establish themselves.

The successful candidate will be an aggressive news hound, able to conceptualize smart features and possess a graceful writing style. Three years experience in daily news and a background in business or financial reporting is preferred.

If interested, please contact Martin Peers at martin.peers@wsj.com.
