Ken Stickney has been named the new business editor of The Advertiser in Lafayette, La.

A story on its website states, “As business editor, Stickney covers local and regional issues and events related to business and industry, including Acadiana’s economy, workforce development and oil and gas. He oversees publication of business announcements in the daily and Sunday editions.

“‘Lafayette and its neighboring parishes enjoy robust and diverse economies,’ Stickney said, ‘and through our print and online coverage, we will try to capture the importance of business and industry in the region and all of the excitement that surrounds it.’

“Stickney most recently served as executive editor of the American Press in Lake Charles. He also worked as managing editor at The News-Star in Monroe, a Gannett newspaper, from 1999 to 2010.
