Financial Times makes changes to U.S. operations

The Financial Times announced Monday a number of changes to its U.S. editorial staff, according to an Editor & Publisher article.

Financial TimesThe article stated, “Francesco Guerrera has been promoted to U.S. Finance and Business Editor. Since 2006 he was the FT’s U.S. Business Editor. In his new role, Guerrera will lead reporters in the financial services and corporate team and will have specific responsibilities for covering large US-based corporations, including Citigroup, JP Morgan and General Electric.

“Ben White, Wall Street Correspondent, has been promoted U.S. Banking Editor. He will lead coverage of Wall Street firms and brokerages, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Together with Guerrera, White will spearhead the FT’s coverage of financial and banking issues.

Joanna Chung, currently the FT’s London-based Capital Markets Reporter, has been promoted U.S. Financial Correspondent, based in New York. Chung will assume her new role on March 24 and lead coverage of U.S. financial regulation and enforcement, from the Securities and Exchange Commission to the U.S. and state attorneys general. She will also be responsible for covering the accounting and auditing industry.”
