Bernard Wolfson, a business journalist who has been working for Market News International in Paris, is going back to work at the Orange County Register.

Richard Horgan of FishbowlLA writes, “Shortly before leaving the Orange County Register in 2005 for an enviable new position in Paris, France, business reporter Bernard Wolfson (pictured) earned a Pulitzer Prize nomination (along with investigations editor Chris Knap and fellow reporter William Heisel) for an in-depth look at local hospitals. As of this week, he has returned to help the paper claim new accolades.

“It says a lot about the Register‘s current fortunes that a journalist would be willing to flip the off-switch in the City of Lights. Wolfson will once again cover the health care beat as part of the paper’s already impressive business reporting team.

“He also leaves behind in Paris a great job title: for Market News International, he was the continental European editor. Reflective of his time abroad, Wolfson speaks three additional languages besides English (French, Spanish and Italian).”
